GoPro relaunches its smartphone app Quik with a new private feed. Today, GoPro announced a complete reimagining of their Namesake App, merging it with their Quik editing app to create a utility they hope will replace your camera roll, no matter what camera you use. “Quik makes it simple and fun to finally make sense of the vast number of photos and videos we all have on our phones,” said GoPro founder and CEO, Nick Woodman, in a statement. “We named it Quik because that’s what it is!” Calling the mobile phone camera roll a “black hole problem for keeping track of your media,” GoPro defiantly declared that the new Mural feature in Quik will make it much easier to find any still or video file with a touch of a button. All users need to do is import that video or still image to the Quik app, where they will be organized into events that can then be automatically generated into a slideshow video with music.
