The miniature fixture manages to provide 8 hours of battery life to each component, and a total of 24 hours with the support of the included charging case. The operational range is 200 meters (as stated by the manufacturer, so a grain of salt might fit here). The unit is fairly basic, including 6-level gain control and “intelligent noise cancellation”. Effectiveness is yet to be determined, but the system should suppress ambient noise and emphasize speech. The mic-transmitters do not contain any physical output. The receiver has one mic output for either camera, smartphone, or any other recording option. Who is it for? The Godox WEC is made for content creators.
