FUJIFILM has just released a new wide-angle ultra-fast prime lens for APS-C-format FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras: the FUJIFILM XF 18mm F/1.4 R LM WR. This compact and lightweight lens might just be perfect for everyday use. Let’s take a closer look at it! The FUJIFILM XF 18mm F/2 R lens originally came out in 2012 with the FUJIFILM X-Pro1 system. While this lens is perfectly okay – being very compact and quite affordable, it doesn’t have incredible optical performances. Fast forward to today and FUJIFILM released a much more advanced and optically refined 18mm alternative (28mm Full-Frame equivalent): the FUJIFILM XF 18mm F/1.4 R LM WR. FUJIFILM XF 18mm F/1.4 R LM WR Features The FUJIFILM XF 18mm F/1.4 R LM WR is an X-mount lens, that is compatible with every APS-C mirrorless camera from FUJIFILM, including their latest FUJIFILM X-S10 that we reviewed here. The XF 18mm F/1.4 R LM WR has a maximum aperture of F/1.4 and a close focus distance of only 11cm/4.3″ making it perfect for everyday use, from street photography to landscape/documentary/travel photography.
