Frame.io Camera to Cloud – Now with RED and FUJIFILM In-Camera Integration

Frame.io has just announced upcoming updates to its Camera to Cloud service during Adobe MAX: RED V-Raptor/V-Raptor XL and the FUJIFILM X-H2S will natively integrate C2C features. In short, it means you’ll be able to send your footage directly to the cloud without downloading or shipping a drive. So let’s take a closer look at how this upcoming feature works! Frame.io’s Camera to Cloud service was first announced back in February 2021. Several cinema cameras from RED, ARRI, Sony, and Canon were supported at the launch. However, you needed a Sound Devices mixer/recorder, a Teradek CUBE 655/Serv 4K, or an Atomos CONNECT device to upload your H.264/H.265 proxy files to the Frame.io cloud. Since Adobe bought Frame.io in 2021, the company has moved much faster. In fact, Frame.io is now natively integrated with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. You even get 100 GB of Frame.io storage, free of charge, included in your Adobe Creative Plan. This free storage even works with the Camera to Cloud (C2C) feature. To make filmmakers’ lives easier, during Adobe MAX, Frame.io announced that it’d soon be natively integrated with RED V-Raptor/V-Raptor XL and FUJIFILM X-H2S cameras.
