Flanders Scientific DM Series AutoCal Now Supports i1D3 Colorimeter

You can now effortlessly calibrate your DM170 and DM240 monitors with an i1D3 OEM colorimeter. Flanders Scientific has made calibrating its DM170 and DM 240 monitors more affordable, as they now support Direct Connection Volumetric AutoCal with the X-Rite i1D3 OEM colorimeter, which has a price tag of $280. Auto-calibration for the DM series was introduced last year and includes support for several high-end colorimeters. The colorimeters allow users to display different matrices to be written to flash memory where the monitor can then access the matrix to ensure an accurate display during AutoCal. To initiate the calibration, all you need to do is plug in the i1D3 into the monitor and select GaiaColor AutoCal from the menu. The calibration does the rest and the color space selection should be completed in about 15 minutes. Check out the overview below. This is good news for DM owners. Flanders Scientific says that in collaboration with xRite a new firmware build for the i1D3 OEM is available, allowing up to 18 separate custom display matrices to be saved directly to the probe’s memory.
