FEELWORLD has just released the L7, a budget-friendly 7” on-camera monitor. This HDMI-only model has a 1920×1080 IPS panel with a maximum brightness of 2200 nits, supports 4K signals up to 30fps, can store up to 50 custom LUTs and features rugged aluminum construction. Chinese manufacturer FEELWORLD is mainly known for making accessible on-camera monitors, although the company’s offering also extends to wireless video systems, lighting products, PTZ cameras, and more. However, my biggest complaint with most of their field monitors is their plastic housing. I tried their LUT7S and, while it does the job, it feels pretty easy to damage while running-and-gunning on set. But with the new L7, it looks like the company is now slowly switching to a more rugged design. Let’s take a closer look! FEELWORLD L7. The two monitors feature very similar specs, but while the LUT7 is built of plastic, the new L7 finally sports an aluminum housing that should make it much more reliable without affecting weight.
