EDIUS X Launched

Canadian video hard- and software manufacturer Grass Valley has released the latest version of their Windows-only nonlinear editing software EDIUS, now named EDIUS X. EDIUS has been around for almost twenty years and it is used mostly in the broadcast-industry but it has made inroads in corporate, government, and enthusiast film production. While certain companies are eager to get rid of the capital “X” (macOS, anyone?), Grass Valley has embraced it to designate it’s latest 10.0 release of the software EDIUS X. EDIUS X, image credit Grass valley New Features EDIUS is known for being able to edit almost any codec under the sun without transcoding, which makes it a fast and snappy NLE. This is also the reason why it’s popular in the broadcast industry. It seems Grass Valley has built on that proven concept and added much needed features that are common in many other NLEs.
