Eddie AI has introduced another update aimed at making the platform faster, more adaptable, and easier to integrate into day-to-day work. From longform rough cuts to smarter B-roll analysis, the latest version continues taking on more of the prep work. Let’s take a look at what’s new. Eddie AI has been steadily rolling out features aimed at speeding up editing prep and reshaping how editors approach their projects. The addition of 30+ languages to the platform last month was quickly followed by another 50 updates that included expanded NLE integration and more. The platform has become a frequent update cycle in itself. Today’s release builds on that momentum with three upgrades that push it further into long-form storytelling and client-driven workflows. URL-driven story development Editors can now feed Eddie a URL in Rough Cut mode, and the system will parse key client messages, positioning, and background material from the source. Those elements get integrated into the story framework from the start, so early edits are already aligned with brand or narrative intent. For editors juggling corporate, branded, or documentary projects, this can remove one of the more tedious alignment steps. Extended rough cuts The rough cut ceiling has been lifted from short segments to edits up to 40 minutes in duration. That changes the equation for YouTube creators, documentary teams, webinars, and anyone working with extended content. Instead of stitching together shorter sections or relying on outside tools, editors can now run long-form projects directly through Eddie. Image credit: Eddie...
