DZOFILM Arles 18mm T1.4 Wide-Angle Lens Introduced – Completing Lineup

DZOFILM has just introduced the Arles 18mm T1.4 wide-angle lens, the 11th and final lens in the Arles lineup. This lens covers Vista Vision 46.5mm large-format image sensors, has a minimum focus distance of 29cm/11.4″, and, according to the company, also has minimal image distortion. So, let’s take a closer look at it! DZOFILM introduced the Arles lineup of lenses in June 2024 with five lenses: 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm. Then, a couple of months later, in September 2024, the company expanded the lineup with a 14mm, 21mm, 40mm, 135mm, and 180mm. After some time, the 11-lens kit is finally complete with the introduction of the 18mm T1.4, which fills the gap between the 14mm and 21mm lenses. DZOFILM Arles lenses – features In contrast to their original and very popular Vespid lenses, the DZOFILM Arles lenses have a more “clean look”, and they all have similar physical dimensions, with a length of 121mm/4.76″ for the PL version and 129mm/5.08″ for the LPL/EF ones, except for the 135mm and 180mm which are slightly longer. However, all Arles lenses feature 0.8 pitch gears on the focus and aperture rings, which are aligned across the range, making lens swaps a breeze. The DZOFILM Arles 75mm T1.4.
