When using light modifiers, compatibility issues between fixtures from different manufacturers can arise. So we decided to stop by the DoPchoice booth at NAB to learn how their RABBIT-ROUNDER and RABBIT-MAX universal SNAPBAG systems can solve this problem. Let’s have a look! For the last few weeks, several lighting product manufacturers have come out with new, powerful COB LED fixtures. The recently-released NANLITE Forza 720 and 720B, the Aputure LS 600c Pro, and the Prolycht Orion 675 FS are just a few examples. However, not all companies adopt the same mount standard for lighting accessories. And of course, buying a set of modifiers for each system is not a feasible path. Here’s where the new DoPchoice RABBIT-ROUNDER and RABBIT-MAX SNAPBAG systems come into play. We visited the company’s booth at NAB where Stephan Karle taught us more about their attempt to offer a universal solution. Let’s start from the first of these two rabbits! Image credit: CineD DoPchoice RABBIT-ROUNDER: mounting complexity simplified The DoPchoice RABBIT-ROUNDER is a universal mounting system designed to ensure compatibility between a variety of DoPchoice SNAPBAG modifiers (such as softboxes and lanterns) and differently-branded fixtures.
