DJI’s Mini line of drones is a great entry into aerial cinematography. At one point in time, using a drone was either cost prohibitive or didn’t offer the same quality as dedicated cameras. Then came DJI, who took over the drone market by providing not only affordability but also image quality. DJI’s Mini Series is the perfect entry-level for creatives looking to get into aerial videography or cinematography. Now, the DJI Mini 2 SE is here to upgrade the most affordable drone in this lineup. But is the new release offering enough to entice creatives? Perhaps. The Mini Upgrade The original DJI Mini SE offered video recording options in 2.7K and HD resolutions via a 12MP 1/2.3” CMOS sensor. Creatives could also get HD video transmission from four kilometers away, which at the time was quite a distance.
