DaVinci Resolve 20.3 Released – 32K Support on Apple M5, Timeline Snapshots, Metadata Improvements

Blackmagic Design has released DaVinci Resolve 20.3, a significant update that introduces support for up to 32K resolution on Apple M5 Macs, enhanced timeline backup management with named snapshots, improved metadata handling for large-scale projects, and background rendering for iPad users on iPadOS 26. The update is available now as a free download. The headline feature of version 20.3 is undoubtedly the 32K resolution support, which arrives alongside Apple’s new M5 processors. This capability opens the door for working with footage from Blackmagic’s own URSA Cine 17K 65 camera, as well as creating content for large format displays, high-resolution VR experiences, and immersive projects requiring extensive visual effects work.
