Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III Limited Edition Announced to Celebrate 30 Years of PowerShot Line

Canon is marking the 30th anniversary of its PowerShot compact camera line in 2026 with the release of a limited-edition PowerShot G7 X Mark III. The anniversary model retains the camera’s 1″ 20.1MP stacked CMOS sensor, 4.2x zoom lens, and video-oriented features, including a dedicated vlog mode. It features a graphite body finish, refined exterior details, and a 30th-anniversary logo. Scheduled for availability in April 2026, the camera, along with a limited edition Peak Design Cuff wrist strap and a 32GB SD card, will sell for $1,299. This is especially true for some popular models, and it seems like the Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III is one of these. We have seen prices of new and used cameras increase, and naturally, camera manufacturers such as Canon are reacting to this as well – either by ramping up (or re-opening) production of legacy models or releasing new editions.
