Canon has just announced an upcoming firmware update v1.0.5.1, for its EOS C70 cinema camera. This new update includes support for Canon’s XC Protocol, a new Custom Picture profile called Canon 709, Face and Eye Detection AF and tracking in both slow and fast shooting modes, and a new 4K Intra recording option. So let’s take a closer look at this new firmware coming early next month! The Canon EOS C70 was introduced nearly two years ago and has been regularly updated since then. Earlier this year, Canon launched the firmware update v1.0.3.1 that added internal Canon RAW Light recording capabilities. The upcoming firmware update v1.0.5.1 is already the fifth firmware update for the EOS C70, which is always lovely to see. This one will add multiple features to the compact Canon RF cinema camera.
