Blackmagic Design just announced the new Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro with a Super35 image sensor, built-in ND filters, tiltable 1500 nit touchscreen, and Canon EF lens mount. The camera uses larger NP-F570 batteries for longer battery life. Grant Petty also announced a new adjustable EVF that can be attached to the camera as well as the new battery grip. The BMPCC6K Pro is available now for $2,495. During today’s live stream, Blackmagic Design CEO Grant Petty announced a lot of new products. We will have a separate article about the new ATEM Mini products and Web Presenter HD soon. Here we will focus mainly on the new Pocket 6K Pro as well as the new EVF and battery grip. Let’s take a look at these new products. BMPCC 6K Pro – ND filters, new color science There is a 6144 x 3456 Super35 image sensor in this new camera along with a Canon EF lens mount. Blackmagic Design claims the camera has 13 stops of dynamic range with dual native ISO up to 25,600. Finally, Blackmagic Design added built-in IR ND filters in the Pocket-style camera body. The ND in the Pocket 6K Pro is available in 2, 4, and 6 stops strength. The camera also features the new generation 5 color science – the same as the URSA Mini Pro 12K. BMPCC6K Pro Camera.
