Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 Announced

Blackmagic Design has recently introduced a new version of their Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, the 6K G2. Almost identical to the original model, this new entry features an adjustable LCD screen, longer battery life, and support for an optional electronic viewfinder. It is now available for $1,995. The original Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K was first introduced in 2019, followed by the 6K Pro version almost two years later. Both cameras produce high-quality, cinematic images, but the latter offers a more complete set of features, including an internal set of ND filters. Now, the company has introduced an upgraded version of the original 6K model. This G2 version inherits some of the advanced features of the 6K Pro and also comes with the brand new Blackmagic Camera 7.9 software. Let’s take a closer look. Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2: features The new BMPCC 6K G2 is pretty much identical to the Pro version. Indeed, the two cameras share the same Super 35 sensor (6144×3456 pixels), Dual Native ISO capabilities, Canon EF mount, recording formats (both BRAW and ProRes), and I/O connections. The biggest difference is the lack of built-in ND filters on the new 6K G2.
