Blackmagic Design has just released another small update for its 18.5 beta version of the popular NLE DaVinci Resolve. The public beta 4 update includes improvements in the controls of subtitle export. Only subtitles that have been actively turned on will now be rendered and displayed on the export. More stability, API scripting, Additional language The update improves the system’s stability when displaying clip handles on the color page. This will, according to Blackmagic Design, make the grading process smoother. The new version also adds scripting API improvements for track and timeline management. Users will be able to write scripts to automate commonly used functions for placing and replacing visual effects on their timeline, therefore speeding up the post-production process and reducing the error count. In the studio version, this update now includes traditional as well as simplified Mandarin for audio transcription and subtitling.
