AtomOS 10.62 Ninja V firmware update includes support for adjustment of White Balance and ISO in ProRes RAW for Nikon Z7 II and Z6 II through Final Cut Pro. With firmware version 10.62, Atomos is updating its ProRes RAW support for the Nikon Z7 II and Z6 II full-frame mirrorless cameras. The update will add full adjustment of white balance and ISO through Final Cut Pro and fixes a few pesky issues as well. To fully take advantage of RAW on Nikon mirrorless, you need to send the camera to a certified Nikon facility for its RAW update which costs $199 plus shipping. Once completed, you'll unlock ProRes RAW recording but also Blackmagic RAW, which Nikon will release firmware support for BRAW on Feb. 25. Benefits of the firmware update include full slider adjustment of White Balance and ISO through Apple Final Cut Pro. Moreover, RBG parade and vectorscope are re-enabled in all video modes. Atomos also addressed an issue that sometimes wouldn’t allow the camera to detect a 6K RAW video signal from the Z CAM cameras in ProRes RAW mode. A character issue in AID was also corrected during the codec activating process. Read More...
