Atomos Makes ProRes RAW Available on Nikon Z7 II and Z6 II

Take advantage of a RAW workflow with the Nikon Z7 II and the Atomos Ninja V. When Nikon announced the Z7 II and Z6 II, both cameras included the ability to record RAW over HDMI up to 4K 30p. Atomos has announced the Nikon Z7 II can now record ProRes RAW externally when using the Ninja V. The Nikon Z7 II is the latest full-frame mirrorless camera to join the Nikon family, inheriting the standout features from its predecessor, the Z7, along with some new features. These new features include the Dual EXPEED 6 image-processing engines for superior Eye-Detection AF, Animal-Detection AF, and subject tracking. When combined with Atomos Ninja V monitor-recorder, it can output 4K UHD or full-HD 12-bit RAW. The Ninja V records ProRes RAW data onto a removable AtomX SSDmini, or you can use other SSD drives. In the edit, shooters can take advantage of the latitude RAW has to offer. The Nikon Z7 II supports both ProRes RAW and ProRes RAW HQ. Besides RAW, shooters can record ProRes 422 LT, 422, or 422 HQ at 4K up to 30p or full-HD up to 60p. Avid DNx is also supported at the same resolution and frame rates. Read More...
