The Sony a7S III is set to record Apple ProRes RAW via Atomos. On the heels of Sony announcing its highly-anticipated a7S III, Atomos has confirmed its Ninja V recorder will be able to record 12-bit RAW images directly from the full-frame mirrorless camera. The a7S III made waves earlier this week as Sony's latest 4K camera that packs-in larger photosites onto a 12.1MP Exmor R sensor. Though the camera cannot record RAW internally, Atomos has partnered with Sony to allow its 16-bit linear RAW output to be converted into a 12-bit RAW and recorded as Apple ProRes RAW on the Ninja V.
