New options for a growing lineup of lenses The new Atlas Orion anamorphic 18mm, 135mm, and 200mm lenses offer new possibilities for those looking to expand their focal length choice when using this set. As with the other lenses from the series, the new ones provide low chromatic aberration, oval bokeh, and streak flares. They also feature both Arri PL and Canon EF mounts to allow compatibility with a wide range of cameras, as well as unified focus, iris gear position, and standardized dimensions. The Orion 18mm features a 140º horizontal field-of-view, which, according to the brand, is the widest horizontal field-of-view of any Cinemascope format 35mm motion picture camera lens. The lens offers a T2 to T16 aperture with lower distortion than usual in this focal length, with a 2x anamorphic squeeze, 18” (1.5’) close focus, and an image coverage of 4-Perf film for a 2.40:1 Cinemascope Aspect Ratio.
