One of the most fun things to happen recently is Conclave coming out like six months before the actual Pope died. Not only did it give the world a little bit of a primer on what was about to happen, but it gave everyone who didn't go to 12 years of Catholic School like me something to talk to me about. Especially with that controversial ending and that cool umbrella scene. The papacy is a lifelong appointment, and there really haven't been that many popes in the last 50 years. It makes sense that people wonder how the process goes down. I mean, many of these Cardinals were just appointed by Francis, so they would never have gone through a process like this before, and I am not aware of any training regimen they give to them. So, what would you do if you were a Cardinal trying to understand your place in the future of the church? Maybe go to the movies? What if I told you it wasn't just lay people watching Conclave to understand their role in this thing...it was also the Cardinals electing the Pope?
