When I was a kid, I never had a clown puppet or a stuffed animal. It makes me think these were an idea manufactured in the 70s or 80s. I think it probably came from John Wayne Gacy being a serial killer and a clown as well, which makes sense, but nevertheless, the evil clown trope is a favorite, and there have been some landmark movies to exploit it and use it to entertain us. Today, I want to go over my ten favorites. Let's dive in. 1. It (2017)This remake of the adaptation of Stephen King's novel became a cultural phenomenon. It sort of cemented all the tropes we know and made the killer clown part of the mainstream.
