CyberLink also shifting all users to rental model

    About half of the users of its Create series video- and photo-editing software have shifted from purchase to rental subscriptions. Shift is estimated to result in 5-8% decrease in consolidated revenues for first-quarter 2019 but they will increase beginning 2020.

    Consolidated revenues are falling, while profits are surging.

    CyberLink is quickly loosing video editing market to Adobe, as most their users had been beginners. They hope to make things more stable by ripping users more.
