  • Today is the birthday of Vladimir Lenin.
And today we finished money collection for GH1 project that will be named after this famous man.

    image

Advanced "democratic" humankind is celebrating Good Friday today.
While their political bosses continue to dismantle social guarantees obtained because of this man.
    Isn't it weird?

  • >My Great and poor sister Russia have great people but always ruled by tsars ( like Lenin,Stalin etc ..)

    Your poor sister? :-)
First, Russia is not poor. Second, judging from your words, it is not sister for you either.
Lenin and Stalina are not tsars :-) They are leaders.
  • Hello Vitaliy
I'm sorry for misunderstood. Russia is not poor but very very rich but (IMO) people in Russia are poor.Great individuals have to bend the governing.Russia is Sister to my country although it was not always friendly brotherhood ;) . I always getting to know cool and wise people from Russia :) so nobody (even some leaders from my small country) can tell me that Russia is not my mental sister :).
Why I think that Lenin and Stalin were not only leaders but tsars ? One word : самодержавие :).

P.S. Михаил Булгаков Мастер и Маргарита is my favourite book :) (unfortunately not in russian :( )
  • >people in Russia are poor

Meaning that they do not want to get IMF credits? :-)

    > One word : самодержавие :).

You clearly need to return to learning history.

    >Михаил Булгаков Мастер и Маргарита

    Don't like it, sorry.
  • If the GH1 project will be named after Lenin, who will the GH2 hack be named after? :) If the GH2 hack is nearly as revolutionary as Lenin, I will be a happy bunny:) By the way, I think we should bring politics more into forums and stuff, it makes it more interesting.
  • >If the GH1 project will be named after Lenin, who will the GH2 hack be named after? :)

It'll be named after Stalin :-)

    >By the way, I think we should bring politics more into forums and stuff, it makes it more interesting

I think that we must not bring it without any point, but we also must not stop users to express their opinion.
  • Do you mean PJF?
With words about "Whatever views you might have about the world, it's a fair bet that about half the population disagrees" :-)
Generally it is position proposed by modern education - if someone won't be happy and you could lose money, do not express your opinion.
  • It's one of the most idiotic things I've heard this week. Imagine what our world would have been like if all people refrained from expressing opinion just cause the other half of the population disagrees.
This quote comes to mind:) :
"It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society." J. Krishnamurti
  • Hey Man! You are even smarter than I thought! Let the whole world plea for the hack named after Vladimir Iliych. He was one of the brightest men the world had ever seen. USSR is not dead and it will strike back one day.
  • >USSR is not dead and it will strike back one day.

I am not so sure about USSR.
But ideas will be more and more popular during fast demolition of all social structures made to compete with USSR.
It can be fine to pay huge part of your taxes to private banks until you have a job and could pay your credits, but soon it'll be tougher and tougher, and some will start to ask questions despite TV proclaiming that you are simply not work good enough and must tighten your belt.
  • "Meaning that they do not want to get IMF credits? :-)"
I' don't like IMF :)-They rules the world with their full bellies and their ignorance :)
"You clearly need to return to learning history" - Vitaliy, I disagree :). We just have different opinions, judgement of history :-)but I hope so we can find compromis with that the Russia can't be weak beacause it's not good for the world.
"It'll be named after Stalin :-)" - He was most effective leader of 20th century so I hope that gh2 hack will be also most effective but please , Vitaliy, don't give it options of machine gun ( I know You can do it in hack ) ;-).
"Whatever views you might have about the world, it's a fair bet that about half the population disagrees"-You have got damn right ":-)- In my country we say: when two people you meet, you hear three opinions :-).
  • >We just have different opinions, judgement of history
Tsar term has quite strict definition. It is the same as if you called Lenin Pope of Russia :-).
  • I did not want to offend anybody but assessment of historical figures is very relative.Best example is Stalin. He made the Russian Empire but for others ...
Ok,our countries are neighbours. We have difficult history but I think We can do our future easier and better with our cooperation then fighting (but polemic is very exiting :-) ).We are making our future now and here so :
I wish you all the best for Russia and Russians :)
  • >assessment of historical figures is very relative

It is not. People are extremely complicated (they are not good or bad), but it can't be relative.
As soon as someone begin talking about relative we start either talking about fantasies or simple falsifications.

    >He made the Russian Empire but for others ...
    Any examples?

History can't be difficult, history is history.
And I do not see any fighting.
Just bring good arguments and stop talking using modern stamps.
  • I don't think you can disengage both Lenin and Stalin from the USSR and treat them as purely humans or purely theorists. USSR was everything for them (that's why we are not talking Trozky here). It also was a working example that another world was possible. Unfortunately from day 1 the country had to fight against endless foreign interventions and that (not the flawed centralized economy) undermined the Soviets. Look where we are now. The whole global economy is bankrupt. 500 trln of toxic assets while the whole world's GDP is roughly 50 trln. The globe is spinning into an unseen economic Depression which always leads to war. I guess these are the mandatory lessons people need to take to start understanding Lenin and Stalin again. It was 1914 global economic crisis and the ensuing WWI, that gave birth to the Great October Revolution of 1917.
  • Ok Vitilaliy, You have damn right.Nothing is black or white but point of view is depending of side of view-this is physics (Einstein).
"Any examples?"-Poland,Finland,Hungary,Romania,Czechoslovakia. In 1939 hitler attacked Poland in 1 september,17th september Stalin attacked Poland by Covenant of Ribbentrop-Molotow. False or true ? My family was send to Siberia from west Ukraine and return to Poland after 8 years.
Finally, after 200 years we can speak together without hostility :-) in this forum.
  • >Poland,Finland,Hungary,Romania,Czechoslovakia

Any details? As I think that you could repeat some modern stamps here :-)

    >In 1939 hitler attacked Poland in 1 september,17th september Stalin attacked Poland by Covenant of >Ribbentrop-Molotow. False or true ?

You are talking about no b/w and go to it in about one sentence :-)
To be short - it is false.
If you look more closely Ribbentrop-Molotow thing will be in big trouble. As no original documents exist and so called copies that are used have many problems. Documents come from mister Jakovlev, and this is the trouble.
Poland goverment position is also very interesting thing.
And so called "democratic nations" position is even more interesting (how about breaking agreements?).

    >My family was send to Siberia from west Ukraine and return to Poland after 8 years.

I think that if you look deeper you could find perfect reason for this.
I am not saying that I like all this.
But all Japanese or married on Japanese had been closed in concentration camps in USA during WW II.
In that time such measures had been pretty normal.

    >Finally, after 200 years we can speak together without hostility :-) in this forum.

Funny thing is that it is doings that hurt, not the words.
  • "Any details?"- after World War II my country was satellite of USSR .It was not voluntary decision :).Of course,we lost this war although propaganda said otherwise. We lost 45 years of growth.Difference is like between West Germany and East Germany ( Mercedes vs Wartburg ).

"If you look more closely Ribbentrop-Molotow thing will be in big trouble. As no original documents exist and so called copies that are used have many problems. Documents come from mister Jakovlev, and this is the trouble"-I think its obviously. Nobody wants to admit that he allied himself with the devil (Hitler) :).I undestand USSR that this documents are top secret. Of course you can tell : there is no body so there is no crime :) but consequences for polish officers in Katyn were dramatic.

"Poland government position is also very interesting thing." - I agree :). They thought that we are central Europe Empire - SIC !.We know consequences. Before War Warld II,polish government (IMO) was fascist and there was no democracy.
"And so called "democratic nations" position is even more interesting (how about breaking agreements?)" -I agree with you. "Nobody wanted fight for Gdansk".

"I think that if you look deeper you could find perfect reason for this. .... "
Difference is huge between closed Japanese and polish people exiles to Siberia . Pleas read "Архипелаг ГУЛАГ" its very similar to stories told by my grandmother.

"Funny thing is that it is doings that hurt, not the words." - Thank you for this Vitaliy
  • Muhuel is right in just one thing. Pre-WWII Polish government was fascist. That's why they had their own Pact with Hitler, which is surprisingly rarely mentioned. Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania - all had their own pacts too. And that was one of the reasons why Moscow supported communists in these countries
    1) Mr. Yakovlev was a long-time CIA asset. A very reliable source indeed.
    2) The so-called Katyn massacre was first mentioned by Mr. Goebbels and was inherited from the Germans by the US propaganda machine. Same thing with the so-called Holodomor, which never happened in real life.
    3) The Poles actually invaded Ukraine and Belorussia in 1918 which led to the counterattack by the Red Army. I don't think we heard any apologies on the Polish side for the 50 000 Russians perished in Polish camps
    4) The first act of collaboration with Hitler wasn't even the breakup of Chechoslovakia. The US and Japan had extensively cooperated with the Nazi. Check pictures of the Nazi Olympic Games in 1936 (they were btw boycotted by the USSR). IBM, Ford...check Charles Lindbergh story... There was the whole Nazi party legally operating in the US, which was absolutely impossible in the USSR. Let's not forget the USSR and Germany where already fighting each other in the Spanish civil war. So in the light of all these the M-R Pact was just a political maneuver for the Soviets to save some time. As you probably heard, the USSR was already at war with the pro-Nazi Japan in the Far East by late 30s. The country that had just started recuperating from its own bloody civil war (18 "democratic" armies invaded Russia in 1918!!!!) simply couldn't afford being engaged on the two fronts simultaneously. So Stalin was absolutely right.
    5) I don't think Poland or Romania or Hungary or any other country lost anything. They benefited greatly from vast modernization and innovation. Do you think Americans would've done anything for the Germans be it not the Soviet threat? They crushed Japan with nuclear bombs to make it a 100% American colony. Same thing with Germany, France, Italy... If that was the better option for Poland, I think you shouldn't be complaining now. You are in fact a 100% American colony (Russia is a 95% colony:). Expect more bases and missiles on your soil.
    6) Man, let's not dig the sht out of the past. USSR was not Russia. It wasn't a racist country. Nor was it an incarnation of the Tzarist Empire. Because if you really want to talk history, someone will send back you as far as to 1612 when Poles took control over Moscow and installed their Dimitri. That Dimitri, who was pretty soon kicked out by the Russian people, reminds me of the today's Russian president with his weird Katyn apologies.
  • Whats with all the political BS guys I thought this was a GH 1-2 / DSLR comuninity but I guess the personal view means just that. Oh well back to DV users for my info.
  • Dear GOODEMPIRE,
Ad1)Yes, He was CIA asset and USA won cold war, there is no USSR, so who has ration?
Ad 2 ) President Miedwiediew gave Poland documents of Katyn. He is lying ? It's fake ?
Ad3)In September 1920, Vladimir Lenin during a speech at the Ninth Conference of the Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks) presented by the main cause of Polish-Soviet War [found] that somewhere near Warsaw is not the center of the Polish government and the bourgeois republic capital, but the center of the contemporary imperialist system, and that the circumstances allow us to shake up the system and its policy is not in Poland but in Germany and England. Thus, we have created in Germany and England a brand new episode of the proletarian revolution, fighting the global imperialism.
"I don't think we heard any apologies on the Polish side for the 50 000 Russians perished in Polish camps" - IT IS SHAME for polish so : I AM really sorry.
    Ad 4) I agree
Ad5)"I don't think Poland or Romania or Hungary or any other country lost anything." -Mercedes vs Wartburg. I want Mercedes :)
"Expect more bases and missiles on your soil. " - No comments ;-)
Ad6)"Because if you really want to talk history, someone will send back you as far as to 1612 when Poles took control over Moscow... " - impressive isn't it ?

    Dear rigs
Its my fault,I started and this is my last political post on this community.
  • these are going to be my last:
    5) Eastern Block got its Mercedes. And look what's going on there from Romania to Estonia. Depopulation, privatization, extreme poverty and exploitation - everywhere. That's why there are so many Poles in Britain. And Germans too btw. Trust me, this is just the beginning. The US cared about this part of the world until it served its purpose in fighting communism. No communism - no Marshall plan. It's funny enough, but America is desperate for some Marshall plan for itself now. And of course, capitalist Russia is going down the same tubes. But! This overwhelming starvation is bringing back to life neo-nazi forces: from Budapest to Moscow. And that's why I think it was a brilliant idea for Vitaly to devote this project to Lenin/Stalin.
We're not going to be offered a choice between Mercedes and Toyo in the near future.
As in the early 1900 or 1930s it will be either Nazism (capitalism/imperialism = war = Serbia/Iraq/Libya/Afghanistan etc) or Socialism.
    Just like that.

and self-victimization doesn't help people understand each other. I sympathize greatly with the Polish people. I have a lot of friends who are of Polish descent. But Russians are getting really tired of being told to apologize. There's no Lenin in Russia today. The country looks more like a Weimer Republic. It had to apologize a lot too, and we know where it ended.

    good luck.
  • @rigs
    >Whats with all the political BS guys I thought this was a GH 1-2 / DSLR comuninity but I guess the personal view >means just that. Oh well back to DV users for my info.

Personal view means just ability to express personal view for everyone.
And this is really HDSLR related site. But, it won't hurt if you'll find some other info, being it mathematics, politics or any other.
People are people wtith their background, their real problems.
Is it good that traditional "independent from manufacturers" sites want to hide this? No.
Why it happens then? This sites are run mostly by admins. And they are very bad in all this things.
They are good at banning and deleting posts :-)
So, feel free to read this site. No one here will interfere to your camera realed discussion with some political talk :-)
  • @Mihuel

Problem with political posts is that most do not understandt their sole goal - education.
Reading your post I see almost all modern historic stamps (see - modern TV and education).
Funny thing is that if you look slightly deeper almost all of them will disappear as having no real arguments.
One man in our parlament recently showed all documents and described process of falsification of Katyn related documents.
This man is dead already, suddenly death that come from nowhere.
Funny thing is that all documents (this was blanks, failed falsified exemplars, etc) disappeared the same day.

Molotov-Ribbentrop documents history is even more funny. Their goal was to make Poland, Latvia, Litva and Estonia our enemies. And you could find good read if will be interested to know how it was archived.

I also recommend to learn that role is dedicated to Eastern Europe. At the plans of their gorvements.
About a million of citizens are working in UK and other countries on the fields to get their living.
Almost all big manufacturing plants are dismanted and dismantle of most old electrical plants is also planned by EU to force tem to buy electricity.
  • One bright day in the future we will see the madness of these times, where billions live in poverty, exposed to easily curable illnesses and all that in the name of capitalism. Where wealth is accumulated on the back of working people without giving them even the most necessary of provisions for free. This has to end. We need a more social society, inclusive not only of rich people. It will create justice, where that now can only be bought, and right relationships where most are now destroyed by creating greed through wilfull scarcity in order to plunder the earth of its resources, that we should share instead of squandering them on a fifth of the world's population.
