Apple: Why they loan another 2.8e+9 €uro while sitting on 155e+9 US$ in cash
  • A normal person would usually not loan lots of money while sitting on a pile of cash. But a normal person also usually pays taxes, for the better of society. Apple does not. Think about this when considering your next buy - maybe you would like to support companies supporting society at least as much as you do.

  • If you can get more money with possibility that you won't pay them back, why not?

  • Most large corporations operate this way. Why pick on Apple?

  • @caveport:

    1. The current news is about Apple borrowing money while they sit on piles of cash. Which other corporation can you cite doing that lately?

    2. It is true that many large corporations evade taxes, but the absolute amount of taxes Apple has evaded to pay is extraordinarily high.

    3. In Apples PR advertisements they pretend to care about the well-being of their customers, employees and supplier's employees. In reality they care only where this does not cost substantial amounts of money. They sure don't care whether the municipalities their employees and customers live in can pay for usual civil services, which they need to finance from collecting taxes.

I'll tell you the secret - they absolutely do not care about their own employees and supplier's employees as long as they do the job. As any other corporation. Of course, they can tell otherwise, but just give them a chance and they will show their true intentions.
