  • Developers in Argentina have begun receiving letters from Google informing them that "Google Play will no longer be able to accept payments on behalf of developers registered in Argentina starting June 27, 2013." The change applies to both paid apps and apps that use in-app purchases. The move appears to be related to new, restrictive regulations the Argentine government has imposed on currency exchanges, which The Telegraph detailed this past September.

Android customers in Argentina will still be able to purchase apps in the Play store and developers from the country can continue to offer free apps.

Interesting thing is how Google presented it as goverment fault.

In fact, they can perfectly made currency exchange outside Argentina without any restrictions (and they do for purchases).

  • you got to love those global players. in days of post democracy most people dont even realise how deep their lobbyism penetrated politics. its not anymore only texan oil tycoons who can decide about peace and war. maybe one day lunatic Larry Page III., father of the peaceful people of north google and grandson of Larry Page will threaten Barack Zuckerberg Jobs with his nuclear missiles...

now its "only" argentina, but i also watched the conflict between google and china with interest. lets see where all this is going and if the tail will eventually wag the dog.

but how did my old friend Bulgakov say: “Everything will turn out right, the world is built on that.”
