    My question is simple. Maybe ridiculous. Is it possible to hack HMC 151? Is it worth it, anyway?

    I have that cam and in general i like video results it gives, but under some conditions, I mean contrast in sunny day, on the lines between highlight and shadows, HMC creates squares usually on people faces :) Maybe rising bitrate would help.

    You need to find someone interested in it.

    HMC-151 firmware is available, it is not really strongly encrypted, but some form of encryption is used.

    Otherwise it is extremely hard to say, as HMC is using chip architecture of consumer Panasonic camcorders that is completely different from GH1/GF1.
