  • Actually would be more correct use the term "Frame Transfer CCD" instead of "Full Frame CCD". Also there is no mention of FIT - Frame Interline CCD, which have been largely used in hi-end broadcast cameras until few years ago.

  • The first video shows the ccd's being read line for line.. and second video talks about smear.. That's a typical thing of Frame Interline Transfer and Interline Transfer CCD's..

    Frame Transfer CCD's as developed by BTS/ Philips don't have smear (due to the readout phase being covered by a rotating shutter), and I think are still the only cameras that use FT CCD's.. (beginning with LDK9 up to the LDK-8000's they make now..)
