    Putin signed the law on the abolition of VAT on investment gold for individuals

    The document exempts from VAT operations on the sale by banks to individuals of precious metals in ingots withdrawn from vaults - previously the tax was 20%.

    Previously you could have gold account in bank, but buying physical gold meant 20% instant losses.
