Capitalism: Capitalist always asks to work more
  • Elon Musk sent an e-mail to employees at Tesla Motors Inc. urging them to cut costs and deliver “every car we possibly can” in a push to show positive cash flow in the third quarter.

The chief executive officer of the electric-car company said it would be his last chance to show improved financial numbers before he tries to raise more money.

Tesla burned through $611 million in cash in the first half of this year and $2.2 billion last year, according to Bloomberg data. The company also lost $568 million on an adjusted bases in the first half of this year and lost $889 million last year.

Capitalist always like to ask to work harder while actually list only goals important to him and his top management team.

  • Another way to look at the statement would be Musk empowering workers to resolve inefficiencies and cut waste that they find on the job. These workers are aware that the success of their company (and therefore their own job security) depends on productivity. A very large percentage of the money that they burned through went to pay worker payroll and benefits. Tesla created a high number of above living-wage jobs by convincing people to invest in a (hopefully) great idea that could ultimately improve the environment as well. They seem like the good guys to me. No one thought that starting an entirely new and unique car company would be cheap or easy.

I made this post as his proposal is universal. Had been used thousands of times. No such thing as "their company" exist. Only company of capitalists where they work. And the only goal of any of such company is not "improving the environment", it is (as openly stated here) burning money until idiots exist to invest new portions. Or, for more normal companies, just getting profits for capitalists.

  • Musk went to new level, stating that unions are evil and really no needed at all.

Actually more important stuff matters he stated - as he promised to make really amazing party once the Model 3 reaches volume production (with expenses totaling $45 per worker). And absolute pinnacle is free frozen yogurt stands (around $2 per worker per month). See? Save hundreds and thousands and make non union workers happy throwing them dollar bills.
