Windows says DNG is 48 bit (3*16) when it is actually 24bit(3*8) ?
  • Title says it all really, I have some RAW images from a machine vision camera which have been run through a custom bit of software to save them as DNG. In Raw Therapee, Raw PhotoProcessor and photoshop on OSX they are correctly "tagged" as 8 bit, yet on windows with Adobe DNG codec installed, windows picture viewer says they are 48 bit ?? Has anyone experienced anything similar ? or have any idea why this might be ? We also have a colour matrix problem that may or may not be related, with high green tint, though if "no profile" is selected in Raw Therapee the image is displayed correctly and RAW PhotoProcessor always by default opens and exports the image correctly.

Thanks for advance for any suggestions. mala
