Suggestions for damping gloop

    I was unhappy with the heavy pan action of my Weifeng 717 head, so I cleaned out the sticky gack inside the mechanism and replaced it with grease. Now guess what - it's too loose. Any suggestions for something I can put in there to increase the friction so that it's somewhere between the two extremes? The mechanism is fairly basic, and theres no real drag adjustment, it's either locked or free, so I'm not sure that just using a heavier grease will really help, but whatever the sticky crap was that was in there before was, it was way too thick.

    If you put too much it can be too loose.
