I think the gimbal looks pretty good. It's crying out for some kind of manual control over exposure though. If they managed that, I'd,even buy the white version

My bad - thought you had questions about whether you could use the hdmi out period. No simultaneous output over hdmi if you record 4k internally. Sorry about the confusion - my earlier post made without trying that out.

CFast storage
On the Atomos Support site under certified drives, they recommend Lexar Professional 3400x cfast type II cards for use with the ninja star. This means the DeLock adapter should work (cfast type II dimensions). Yay! Gonna get one for my G7...

agreed, full price isn't cheap. The pre-order price is though. Cheaper than the Fhugen cage which I believe is the cheapest cage out there, and a lot nicer looking

@DrDave - that reviews the older lumu version, which works with iPhone 4s. It's functionality is restricted to luminance readings. The lumu power functions as a color meter too, but will only work with iPhone 5 and above.

Be certain that every single one of the parents have given clearance, and ideally get them to sign a release form. Your hours will easily run into double figures - I would be charging £150 minimum, and your guy isn't getting charged for camera …

Why would anybody want 5k resolution? There's a near revolt going on amongst Hollywood DOP's about having 4K foisted on them, and the the vast majority prefer to shoot at 2k. Dynamic Range and color science is king

GH4 - Best Video Settings
I get aliasing when I downscale 4K footage until I bring sharpness down to -3. At this value, all my aliasing disappears - double checked on grade 1 HD broadcast monitors at work.
