I'm assuming it will maintain dead accurate focus while sliding in or out.

Varavon "cranes" and new S sliders thoughts https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/3000/varavon-cranes-and-new-s-sliders-thoughts Tue, 24 Apr 2012 22:44:47 +0000 jodydb 3000@/talks/discussions

I have the lite, which works fine, but am interested in the crane and the longer version. They also have little wheels that attack to the bottom of the crane that made me giggle... want them too...

does anyone have any tips on how to get steady speed on sliders with out crank other then handpush.pull? I've been using rubber bands with my lite slider and gh2, rokinon 35mm and loupe gets good results most of the time

maybe a future deal on here? eh

Not your average DIY dollie, trolly, or slider https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2365/not-your-average-diy-dollie-trolly-or-slider Wed, 22 Feb 2012 08:11:09 +0000 Brian202020 2365@/talks/discussions I made this several days ago for a low budget short so I thought I'd share. It's very heavy duty, and can support a fully loaded RED ONE with ease. I used it with a fully loaded AF100 with a Hyperdeck Shuttle, rods, mattebox, FF, SmallHD, etc. It might be overkill for a GH2 tho. I accidentally tightened the two halve together too much and got flat spots in the wheels, so I'm in the process of replacing them as well as a few more little modifications. I'm not super happy with the rail design on the ends, but I needed something quick for the shoot. I'll probably update that at some point as well.

Thoughts, opinions?

to me it looks pretty well thought-through, unlike many "new" designs that are rally just knockoffs. It does look a little small, but then it also looks prety solid. Bearings are a plus, Aircraft grade is a plus, Made In USA (for me . . . I'm USA) is a plus.

What do you think? It looks like this is the first produced unit. Perhaps someone should snag this and then maybe a group buy if it is good? I'm certainly thinking about it . . .

RigWheels Portable Dolly / Slider Wheels are a simple and sleek way to add motion to your images utilizing the support equipment that you may already own. Because RigWheels can mount directly to your camera rig or other support platform with one bolt, they are the easiest and most portable way for you to add smooth camera movement to your arsenal. RigWheels along with any nearby piece of pipe, glass, plexiglass, laminate, track or other smooth surface can give you the same seamless smooth motion.
