Sony FDR X3000 Sample Footage/Hyperlapse

Got a chance to play with my FDR X3000 and I'm really happy with the video quality. Here's a video that I did this afternoon in my truck. The camera is a breeze to use and even in 1080p60 the quality is impressive.

Hopefully, the YouTube compression won't be too bad. The original file looks great!

Bit depth and sample rate - Impact on audio editing quality

If I were to record 2 wav files, one at 16/48k, and one at 24/96k, I understand that there would be little to no perceptible difference in the sound quality to most listeners. As far as editing the file goes, how do the higher quality files make a difference? Will I be able to pitch shift or slow down the 24/96k file farther without it breaking up, for example?

Panasonic HC-V700 Camcorder Review

I bought the Panasonic HC-v700 Camcorder based on this review:

For me the 1080/60p and the telemacro mode are the two best things about this camcorder.

I shoot for Microstock and Vimeo, I can't tell you a codex from a follow-focus. I point/shoot and hope it looks good.

The 1080/60i mode has weird interlaced kinda lines, not sure if it's my workflow or what.

I've owned the GH1, Sony A55, Nikon P500 and Gopro Hero2 and this Camcorder produces a better image.

Here's a Time Lapse I shot, just sped-up to 800% in Motion5.

There's a 180 photo burst mode that is kinda neat...

I have shaky hands but I think someone could make the zoom work smoothly

For $460 it's a pretty good Camcorder. I think.

Hacked GF2 footage topic

Now that the new PTool 3.64 supports the GF2 alongside the GH2 (Vitaliy, your work is absolutely amazing!!!), it would be great to see some actual footage with any of the new patches that also work for the GF2. There is bascially nothing out there on YouTube or Vimeo.

I'd love to add a GF2 to my GH2. Any hacked sample footage would really be helpful in making that decission.

Thanks to everyone in advance for this. I am sure I am not the only one who'd love to see some tests.

44.1 ok for movie audio in DCP digital age?

I'm working on producing a feature film. Most audio is recorded at 24/96, but a lot is being recorded at 44.1. I remember hearing that in terms of using on actual film, it needed to be 48. But given that I've heard most theatrical distribution is on Digital Cinema Package (DCP) these days, is it okay to have some of the audio recorded at 44.1?
