30mm F2.8 Panasonic macro https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/12438/30mm-f2.8-panasonic-macro Mon, 23 Feb 2015 07:36:56 +0000 Vitaliy_Kiselev 12438@/talks/discussions image

Elegantly designed with a sharp, metallic black finish, the new 30mm macro lens perfectly matches the style of the latest LUMIX G interchangeable lens cameras. With a 30mm (35mm camera equivalent: 60 mm) wide angle and a high speed f/2.8 aperture, the lens provides sharp, high contrast image rendering. Utilising 1x life-size magnification, deep depth of field, and a focusing distance starting at just 0.105 m, the lens offers excellent performance even when shooting true-to-life macro shots.

A durable and reliable metal mount means the lens is perfectly suited for day-to-day use, while the multi-coated lens elements minimise ghosting and flaring to further enhance shooting performance. With a 240 fps Drive Auto Focus (AF) and MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), you can achieve fast, accurate focusing and stable framing with every shot.

The 30mm macro will be available in black from May 2015 for around 399.

60mm F2.8 Venus Laowa Chinese macro lens https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/12102/60mm-f2.8-venus-laowa-chinese-macro-lens Mon, 05 Jan 2015 06:21:00 +0000 Vitaliy_Kiselev 12102@/talks/discussions image

The new Venus 60mm f/2.8 Macro lens features a magnification range from 0.1x to 2x. Users could easily alter the magnification ratio without installing any extension tube or teleconverter, making it ideally suited for rapidly changing macro photography scenarios. This wide magnification range also makes it extremely useful for shooting macro objects (e.g. insects) with different sizes. Moreover, the lens is also designed for normal shooting purposes with a 60mm focal length, which provides an all-in-one solution for normal portrait shooting as well as ultra-macro photography.

The lens houses with 9 elements in 7 groups patented optical structure to provide great deal of image clarity and color renderness. The optical system consists of 2 major moving lenses groups in order to minimize the barrel distortion. 14 pieces of aperture blades form a close-to-circular aperture, capable of creating creamy shallow depth of view. The enclosure of the lens is made of metal to strengthen its durability. A complimentary lens pouch and filter are included in the package. Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony Alpha and Pentax K mount are available.

28-200mm F3.5-5.3 Vivitar Macro Focusing Issue https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/4939/-28-200mm-f3.5-5.3-vivitar-macro-focusing-issue Fri, 19 Oct 2012 17:01:39 +0000 daisuke 4939@/talks/discussions @sammy @LaserGuidedTaco

A few of us have purchased this lens from the 'hidden gems among lenses' thread recommendation. I read the reviews of having focusing problems. It seems that the macro function is stuck on. I just received mine today, and my lens cannot focus as well. Any insight on this subject or lens would be helpful. It is the canon fd mount version.

  1. I am using a fotga adapter, and I've also tried the fotodiox adapter for fd mounts.

  2. To use the macro function you must slide it to 200mm and turn to the left. There doesn't seem to be any locking or engaging. You must then turn it all the way to the right to slide back to anything under 200mm. When back to anything lower, it will still focus but everything is blurry.

I can take pictures if anyone needs more information. Looking to solve this issue so we can all use the lens. Thanks!

FS: Vintage macro reproduction lens KORREKTAR 150mm f6.3 https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/15456/-fs-vintage-macro-reproduction-lens-korrektar-150mm-f6.3- Tue, 02 Aug 2016 07:30:18 +0000 neirotransformer 15456@/talks/discussions Rare lens for sale. It was made for some kind of reproduction machines and covers huge 12x18 cm frame. Probably another copy of industrial Zeiss or Nikkor (as all things done in USSR). It covers 12x18 cm frame, so on small sensors in regular (not macro) mode its not so sharp as smaller microplanars. The good thing about this lens is that in macro mode you can be very very far from object. It has perfect round bokeh at any F-stop and very flat and even image area. Works well for macro and for landscape too. The image is very filmic. The iris is smooth, glass is very clear.

The lens comes with Rafcamera M45-M42 adapter and with PZF macro bellows (Its not the most precise bellows in the world, but its perfect for this lens because it extends 2x more than other usual more expensive bellows)

Located in Ukraine, Odessa city. Will ship worldwide. Can accept only Payoneer (Make A Payment service from Payoneer to Payoneer account 0% fee) or any Card to Payoneer (Request a Payment service) with 3% fee. Ask $200 ( or $180 without macro bellows) + shipping and payment fees.

I took out the batteries, tried it again but this time with a static shot and filmed the couch. It was working solid for 8 minutes before I decided to test it and walked in, sat on the couch then returned to the camera to find that it froze again.

I switched lenses to my Vivitar 55mm f2.8 Macro and repeated the test, it froze again after about a minute.

The shots weren't very detail heavy either, just an empty wall, couch and ma doggy.

I was using a Sandisk Extreme Pro 32gb/95mbs, which I purchased yesterday. Is it the wrong card for the job?

Does anyone have any advice or experience with this? Should I just reinstall the hack or try a different one?

from 2008 Album – Maria Awaria

This video it's a bit older, rec and edit in the Spring of 2012. I remember being very interested in studying the natural motion/flow of things and also the macro world and then developing ways of interacting/intersecting/mixing/reacting (along) with it. Many stupid things happened, lots of fun =)

If you figure out the dizzy busy society of bustling beings that get visited by a stiffy happy grinning flaneur fish as a tiny metaphor of nowadays, it's happening in your head only, these are just ants :P

The guy in the background is encouraging me to put my dick instead, that's the level... At least you can listen a nice song by the wonderful Maria Peszek. @MarcioK filmed with our Hx9v + some zoom front element as magnifier.

In early December I decided to start looking into macro photography more after seeing a blog from a russian photographer who shot snowflakes in his backyard with a point-and-shoot camera.

I had looked at expensive macro lenses and then came across another way to make your own!

Everyone has seen old Canon EF lenses around the 28-80 or the 35-80mm kit lenses?

Well if you remove the front glass element, your lens becomes a fixed focus, multi focal length macro lens!

Here is a blog post from my brand new website showcasing how I do my macro shots and my best ones are near the end of the blog! Have a look through if you have time and let me know what you think!

Apparently they aren't quite harmless as they can be pests to oaks and hardwoods. Who knew. I guess they eat the leaves and the tree can die. State parks here in Wisconsin have problems with them from time to time.

The Sphinx moth is just beautiful. It's about as big as a hummingbird and just as fluttery. I got 3 or 4 pics out of about 50 that were in focus. Not very common in this region. They emigrate south every year. They have a super long proboscis for nectar. It was very interested in the petunias.

Smoothest hack, intra, macroblocking... Noob questions ! https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/7420/smoothest-hack-intra-macroblocking...-noob-questions- Wed, 03 Jul 2013 18:17:07 +0000 TruHype 7420@/talks/discussions Hello,

Attention, noob questions ahead !

I would like to know a few things : - Which is the smoothest hack on the GH2 ? (All the detail, no macro-blocking) - What does "Intra" or "AVC-Intraa" mean ? - What is Auto Quantitizer ? I'm not sure if a higher number means a better image (lower compression) or it's the inverse. What is better, AQ0 (all to motion), or AQ4 (all to details) ? - What does GOP stand for, and there is "Low-GOP", but then does that mean there's "high GOP" ? What are 12/15 GOP, 3 GOP and 6 GOP ? - What are P-frames, B-frames... ? - What is "Matrix" and "444 Matrix" ? - On some settings there's written "14-16 QP", or "QP16". What does QP mean ?

I've not seen much smooth looking GH2 videos on Youtube (unlike the canon videos), lots of them have a lot of macroblocking or whatever and causes the video not to be smooth, and sometimes there are some sort artifacts (I think it's because of the compression or something...). I'm a bit of a pixel-peeper :P Could someone explain me the causes of the un-smoothness, and why are some videos really clean compared to others ?

Example of smooth videos I've found :

(his videos are all smooth and clean)

PS : Can someone give me the link to download the 244mb/s hack ?

And here on EOSHD there's an article about Intra :

http://www.eoshd.com/content/4452/gh2-gets-avchd-intra-at-176mbit

But I still don't understand the difference between the 176mbit so-called "Intra" hack and any other one ! I'm confused...

Please answer !

Thank You.

F/32 for Macro? https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/4997/f32-for-macro Thu, 25 Oct 2012 22:35:25 +0000 ragnar 4997@/talks/discussions Noob question here. I've been watching Macro How to videos and they seem to all be using Canon DSLR and Canon lenses. Those macro lenses all seem to go to f/32. I understand why...greater depth of field needed for macro, but I don't see any Oly or Pana m4/3 lenses that go to f/32. Most are f/22, I think. Am I wrong? Is that f/22 for m4/3 lenses really an effective f/32 in the full frame world or am I not getting something here? It isn't a complaint as my m4/3 macro shots are pretty good, I think, and will get better with that nice Oly 60mm Macro f/2.8 that's coming. I'm just curious if anyone knows what I'm trying to ask here.
