So my question is this - I bought the Giottos Rocket Air Blower, but how to do I get the mirror(or is it shutter?) to lock open so I can blow air on it? Any and all tips much appreciated.

BMMCC HDMI port is rather shaky, especially when used with angle HDMI adapters, so i decide to develop a clamp to solve this problem. After few DIY prototypes i was able to produce small batch of factory machined angle HDMI clamps.

The kit includes:

  • Front and rear parts of angle HDMI clamp (factory machined from aluminum alloy, anodized in black color).

  • 2pcs 1/4" button head screws (Stainless Steel or Black Oxide Steel or both for your choice)

  • 2pcs M4 Stainless Steel grub screws.

  • 2mm allen wrench hex key.

For your choice i can Include Ugreen angle HDMI adapter to the package for additional cost, or you can get it by yourself from Ugreen ebay or AliExpress stores: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ugreen-HDMI-Male-to-HDMI-Female-Cable-Adapter-Converter-Extender-for-1080P-HDTV-/152084086682 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Ugreen-HDMI-male-to-HDMI-female-cable-adapter-converter-extender-90-degree-angle-270-degree-angle/32403914176.html

!!! Please note that this clamp designed to work with SmallRig Cage and Ugreen angle HDMI adapter only !!!

Package cost total:

  • Angle HDMI Clamp Kit = $25
  • Ugreen angle HDMI adapter (optional) = $5
  • Worldwide shipping by registered air mail with tracking number = $5
  • Payoneer funds transfer fees = 3%

GH2 & Focussing - Auto Focus & Manual Focus Tips https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/1748/gh2-focussing-auto-focus-manual-focus-tips Thu, 15 Dec 2011 10:32:15 +0000 driftwood 1748@/talks/discussions
Methods:
1. Start in AFS (Auto Focus Single) mode and turn off facial recognition & auto tracking in menus.
2. Switch to AFS and in menu turn off Continuous Auto Focus. You can now change focus only when you depress the shutter button half-way down. It will keep this focus setup unti you hold down the shutter button half-way down again. This works whilst recording.
3. Configure Custom Menu Settings AF/AE Lock to AF/AE & AF/AE Lock Hold to 'On'. When you now press the AF/AE Lock on the camera it will focus and lock both AF and AE until pressed again.
4. Whist in AFS recording, lock your focus then switch to Manual Focus and continue your own focussing.
5. Aiding focus: Toggle between Normal View and Magnified View by switching to Manual Focus mode and press & hold the Q Menu button then press 'Set' to assign a fn button for the switching.

Please, by all means, discuss your best methods below.

Any hack/way to lock exposure while shooting video on GF2/3? https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/4065/any-hackway-to-lock-exposure-while-shooting-video-on-gf23 Fri, 27 Jul 2012 23:01:53 +0000 salil 4065@/talks/discussions Will we ever see a hack for this? Is it feasable? Is there some way of loading part of the GH2 firmware on to a GF2 or 3? (yes, I just oversimplified to an annoying extent most likley :p)

I really wish there was a way to completely lock all exposure controls while shooting video on these little cameras. Is there anything on horizon or techniques for an exposure lock while shooting with the GF 2 or 3? This auto ISO is giving me a headache.

GF2 Flicker Reduction Behavior https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2628/gf2-flicker-reduction-behavior Tue, 20 Mar 2012 04:52:50 +0000 Rambo 2628@/talks/discussions

I've taken this out of page 6 the GF2 Stable settings Thread http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2321/gf2-stable-settings/p6

GF2 is a strange camera in Video mode. Panasonic say in their manual that Flicker Red (Flicker reduction) when set to 1/50 >1/120 in video mode will lock the shutter. I agree from the tests i have done in bright daylight that it does, however it appears SOMETHING is changing when large amounts of light or dark is introduced quickly, it seems to have a trigger point. If you use a manual lens, set aperture, use an ND or VariND and set iso to 100, it appears you can shoot and lock shutter between 1/50 and 1/120.

In dark situations where the camera needs gain, i think the iso will follow a similar pattern, jumping at trigger points, but shutter and iso will be locked at what you set it to unless you pan the camera to a very bright or very dark area, this seems to trigger some change but not enough to correct exposure. Weird. I throw this out there for discussion, as there seems to be conflicting opinions on this and no real explanations on what the camera is doing.
