In advance of this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, Indiewire sent out brief questionnaires to all of the filmmakers (you can read their full answers in our Meet the 2015 Tribeca Filmmakers Series). As part of the questionnaire, we asked which camera(s) they shot on.

Their responses showed a wide variety of camera used – everything from drones to cellphones to the Swedish Ikonoskop, which is a digital camera meant to emulate the 16mm film look.

The most popular choices across the board were the ARRI ALEXA and RED Epic, as well as various models of Canon and Sony cameras. Almost all of the filmmakers produced their films digitally – the only films that specified having shot on film were "Franny," "Transfatty" and "Tumbledown."

We’ve arranged this master list alphabetically by camera – please note that some films used multiple cameras, so you’ll see a few repeats as you browse.

Looking for a GH2 Hack For a somewhat specific project. Final Uni Piece, so must be perfect. https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/9709/looking-for-a-gh2-hack-for-a-somewhat-specific-project.-final-uni-piece-so-must-be-perfect. Tue, 25 Feb 2014 16:28:44 +0000 Wilrus 9709@/talks/discussions Hey guys, next month, I'll be shooting my Final uni film, and im looking to make my shoot look phenomenal... I have a 'Class 10, 45/mbs sandisk Extreme 32GB card' and I will be shooting it on a (if all goes to plan) Canon 50mm (F/1.4) There's alot of dialogue in the film, and im planning to try roll from one end of the convosation to the other (about 10 minuets in length) (im not sure if this will cause 'spanning' (I think its called) ) Long story short... I'm looking for the best cinematic-looking hack that i can can shoot for 10 minuets without fear of overheating and won't fill up my card like crazy (as I have about a 6 hour shoot, so am looking to be able to carry a fair amount of footage (obvously i won't be shooting for 6 hours straight, but i'll still walk away with a fair bit of footage)

Thanks in advance guys

Digital Cinema Festival in London https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/8868/digital-cinema-festival-in-london Sun, 24 Nov 2013 09:15:55 +0000 jiriloos 8868@/talks/discussions There will be a Digital Film Festival event in London at the Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square London on December 4, 2013.

If you've ever dreamed of seeing your footage on the big screen this event is for you.

The Movie Machine Digital Cinema Festival will feature guest speakers, cinema presentations, and footage from many different cameras projected on the big screen, including: the Blackmagic Cinema, Blackmagic Pocket Camera, Digital Bolex, Canon 5D Mark III, Canon C100, Sony PMW-F3, PMW-F5, RED Epic and more! Everything from "affordable cinema cameras" to "not-so-affordable" cinema cameras.

More information here: http://www.moviemachine.tv/digital-cinema-festival/

I am not anyhow affiliated to organisers of this event, but I think it might be of interest to anyone here at this forum.

Something I know I did this summer :) https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/8460/something-i-know-i-did-this-summer- Thu, 17 Oct 2013 05:36:42 +0000 inqb8tr 8460@/talks/discussions This is a rock festival that I'm connected to. We did the promo and the gigs.

Promo was shot with GH2, sankor anamorphic and few nikkors, sedna hack that I won't let go. It was very simple atmospheric piece, with info written on objects, boats, cars, doors etc. Graded in Lightroom. 23hrs from idea to tv broadcast, guess I broke some record.

And one of the videos from the festival itself, done with 5 cameras, GH2, Canon 1Dc, 7d and 550d, and HMC150. Matching them was pain in the ass, but most important to me was the fact that 1Dc (though not in LOG mode and not 4K) and GH2 matched amazingly well. I like my GH2, and would rather have 25 GH2's than one 1Dc! :)) I had GH2 on the rig others around on monopods and handheld, multicam edited in premiere..

Thanks for checking it out!

Documentary shot with GH2 won International Documentary Challenge https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2783/documentary-shot-with-gh2-won-international-documentary-challenge Wed, 04 Apr 2012 19:43:40 +0000 GOODEMPIRE 2783@/talks/discussions Great news today and I'm really excited to spread the word. Our team (20 Coop) has just been picked as one of the 12 finalists for this prestigious festival. I don't want to jinx us by sharing it before the final decision is made by the judges, but I really see it as a recognition of the amazing filmmaking capabilities this camera is providing since it was hacked by Mr. VK. Kudos to the team and personal-view.com forum. I learned here a lot.
