How to setup Dell U2410 wide gamut monitor for color grading in CS6 and Resolve?

As my main monitor I use Dell U2410 connected via DVI to a hackintosh OSX ML. Since Premiere CS6 is not color managed as far as I know, I usually switch to sRGB profile of the monitor to get normal color saturation. It is a simulation of sRGB color space, but it is somehow "mushy". If I leave it at AdobeRGB preset mode that I use for everything else, colors of the video are over saturated, like any other non managed srgb content on a wide gamut monitor.

I need some advice here, can I somehow adapt my workflow to stay in AdobeRGB profile of the Dell monitor, and to have an accurate representation of colors in my editing and grading software (resolve)?

I don't have an external grading monitor, nor I plan to get one anytime soon. I don't need absolute accuracy here, only some decent reference point.

AE Export CC for Vimeo and other players

Im trying to find out optional CC for exports for After Effect cs6 (for the moment) Composition settings 16bits and colour from display calibration-I just found this and thought its a good solution. I exported as Prores 422 and uploaded this to Vimeo Plus 1080p. My "desired" Look from AE looks good only in Movist. QT and Vimeo looks the same washed. I know I can use Movist to be happy :) but How to achieve "AF desired Look" to Vimeo and QT what most potential viewers use. Do you know any washed settings in AF :) or any other solution? Looking for very RELIABLE PATCH with INTENSE COLORS

Hey everyone,

I've been quite impressed by the great image detail the all-new 4:4:4 hacks produce, but I still have problems with their RELIABILITY, colors don't look that great for me and I also have to deal with HORIZONTAL WAVES that destroy the image. Unfortunately, I'm also quite new to hacking and don't really know which patch to choose.

Is there anyone who could recommend a patch with a bitrate around 40MBPS and INTENSE COLORS (e. g. similar to Canon 5D Mark III or GoPro Hero Silver Edition) and that could be used BOTH WITH a LUMIX G Vario 14-140MM and a SLR MAGIC HYPERPRIME 12MM?

False Colors on the GH2

GH2 color difference between preview while recording and playback

Hi,

Before I press record the lcd shows different colors in comparison to the video I can watch after recording (after recording it looks a bit more green). I have tried nearly everything but without any good result.

Is the reason that the DSP of the cam doesnt compute every pic manipulation effect to save energy and to protect the cam from overheating in non recording mode?

any ideas to fix that? Or are patches for the hack available that will fix it?
