"The Gift of Magioli" - A Christmas Short shot on the GH2 https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/9039/the-gift-of-magioli-a-christmas-short-shot-on-the-gh2 Tue, 10 Dec 2013 13:11:18 +0000 mattodowd 9039@/talks/discussions Hey all -

Figured I'd share this with the GH2 interested community. Inspired by a post-holiday party hangover brunch, a friend and I called a few actor friends and shot this short in a single day. With one camera, one lens, a monopod, and no lighting except for the final night scene.

A warped retelling of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, in which a scumbag loan-shark learns the true meaning of Christmas. Barely.

Specs:

GH2 running Vanilla Hack Firmware V1.1 ISO 160 Nostalgic -2, -2, 0, -1 | Panasonic 20mm 1.7 Lens | Manfrotto Monopod | Zoom H4N audio (and an untrained sound guy) | A handful of actors more talented than we deserved | And a little borrowed production value

FS: Carl Zeiss 50mm 1.7 - Contax Yashica + EOS Adapter (optional) https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/4235/fs-carl-zeiss-50mm-1.7-contax-yashica-eos-adapter-optional Mon, 13 Aug 2012 16:15:35 +0000 sicovdplas 4235@/talks/discussions For sale my 1st child the 50mm 1.7 Carl Zeiss

I'm selling this lens because it has to make way for my new 50mm 1.4 Carl Zeiss, Beautifull sharpenss, the loved '3d' effect of Zeiss And ofcourse the near perfect colour rendering!

Glass has no marks, no scratches, no fungus, no dust no cleaning marks, simply clean! Cosmetical it has some wear, some number indicators are slightly marked, but nevertheless this is not a issue, you can still read the f-stops, and meterings.

Adapter to EF mount (EOS) and it's suitable for Fullframe, and all other canon dSLR's, note that this also works on Nikon fullframe, Nex 5,6,7 Gh1,2,3 and ofcourse the soon to come Black magic cinema camera.

Location: Netherlands Shipping: Worldwide, but preffer European Union.

Pancake 20mm f1.7 vs SLR Magic 12mm f1.6? https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2089/pancake-20mm-f1.7-vs-slr-magic-12mm-f1.6 Sun, 22 Jan 2012 10:46:38 +0000 Manu4Vendetta 2089@/talks/discussions People, I would like to have these two lenses, but the budget would allow me to have only one for now.

Both seems good glasses, the main use is video and film, photography as secundary, The examples indicate both are greats and cinematographic look. So, i like much use mi GH2 in the night, the luminosity is therefore a necessary condition for my.

Some people say the Panix is best, and argue the SLR is a CCTV overpriced, that argument isnt mine, so, for the tests, I think the SLR is wonderful and the price isnt excessive.

Actually I have a 14-42 its a regular lens, but is poor in low light condition and noisy in high ISO. A FD 50mm 1.8, superb, great look and softness, but have a limited angles.

I need objective opinions, thanks

Pancakes Lumix G 20mm 1.7 and wide-angle adapter lens impact ? https://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/415/pancakes-lumix-g-20mm-1.7-and-wide-angle-adapter-lens-impact- Mon, 18 Jul 2011 14:20:31 +0000 feha 415@/talks/discussions with wide-angle adapters , Canon, Nikon etc ...
As I have seen some videos using 20mm 1.7 + Nikon NH-WM75 (0.75)
This would make it 14mm wide-angle i think ...
The problem is wide-angle adapters are very heavy and auto focus have a moving body with filter thread ...
Have anyone tried and how risky is to damage the tiny motor or gears inside 20mm ?
