Thanks always for COOL footage! :-)

  • @All

I am going to release new GOLGOP3-13s tomorrow. And, I will touch "Spizz" after the release. And furthermore, I am going to readjust Valkyries to after that. About improvement of GOP3ZILLA, it is made after improvement of Valkyries.

Thanks for all your feedbacks! :-)

  • @bkmcwd, cheers for your efforts. In which way will you improve valkyrie? Thank you

  • @Mirrorkisser

In which way will you improve valkyrie?

Also in Valkyrie, I am going to try the improvement performed in HBR of GOLGOP3-13 released tomorrow for high-bit rate & stability.

However, since the matrix of Valkyrie is very peaky, I am not sure whether it goes well in a similar manner.

Anyway, improvement of Valkyrie is on the schedule after touching Spizz. :-)

  • @ GOLGOP3-13 lovers :-)

    "GOLGOP3-13-A2_BETA5" and "GOLGOP3-13-MAX2_BETA5"

I release the new "GOLGOP3-13-A2" and "GOLGOP3-13-MAX2" settings.

All of these matrices are the same as before. The main changed parts are having realized Freeze-les and high-bitrate in HBR and 720p.

In BETA5, as a result of taking care about how depending on which especially a buffer appears and improving, in all the modes, spanning became possible mostly.

*These have passed the continuation zooming test for 3 minutes or more.

*Please try them! And many thanks for feedbacks from you!

*If these are also still unstable, I will further adjust.

    Special thanks to @har_k, @ojiko, @syoushow, @Mrhechang, @Shon, @spreeni, @kankala, @abraham1307, @jul and @towi!

And especially thanks to Nick @driftwood. :-)

*Of course, already combined with excellent audio tune @thepalalias's "Pasadena_Pulse_Audio_V2_Beta2"

    NOTE:

*Although bit rate setups are quite high, the bit rate which actually appears are lower than these. Since the actual bit rate changes by the object to shoot, please confirm by yourself.(Max bitrate : about 120M in 24p, about 75M in HBR, about 65M in 720/50p, about 60M in 720/60p.)

*'MAX' version and 'A' version are completely the same except 24p.

*The original matrix is adopted in the newest GOLGOP3-13s. It is the middle of a Sedna matrix and a stock character. If I say plainly, it will be the Sedna matrix optimized in 3GOP structure.

*24H and 24L are high quality 3GOP setting with mega size I-frames in GOLGOP3-13-A2.

*24H and 24L are high quality 3GOP setting with super mega size I-frames in GOLGOP3-13-MAX2.

    *24p80%(30p) is available in 24H & 24L both.

*60i, 50i, HBR30p and HBR25p are also high quality and stable 3GOP settings.

*720/50p is 6GOP and 720/60p is 9GOP. It has tuned up so that the bit rate at the time of motion may go up rather than the time of statics.

*I especially recommend you use with SanDisk 95MB/s 64GB SDXC card.

*In camera playback is available in all rec mode except 24p in GOLGOP3-13-MAX2, at least available after reboot the camera.(Not tested full yet, but probably)

*EX Tele, iA mode work.(Not tested full yet, but probably)

*If you will use "iA" in 720/60p, I recommend you use "H" mode.(In other modes, there is no problem with iA)

*Spanning in 24H, 24L with SanDisk 95MB/s 64GB SDXC Card. Also in other rec mode, almost available.

*Spanning in other cards needs to be tested.

  • I begin to improve "Spizz", from now on. :-)

  • I already released Spizz of the improved version. Please try it and give me feedbacks. :-)

    http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/comment/106865#Comment_106865

And I am working on Valkyries now. The know-how in Spizz is also poured into these. They become settings certainly better than the former BETA versions.

Please offer, if there are those who do the test by the side of PAL.

  • @bkmcwd: thank you, looking forward to the new settings! I already enjoy Valkyrie now and am looking forward to improvements that include the new knowledge of the moon matrices.

  • @Mirrorkisser

    Thanks always mate! :-)

About the matrix, it has not been changed in this improvement. In Valkyrie TZ2, I am going to adopt the pure original matrix of Chris as much as possible.

About Spizz, since it is a domain of Nick, I may adopt his matrix positively.

I have already made the plan also about improvement next to Spizz.

  • I almost completed new Valkyrie 444 TZ2 and Valkyrie Cinema Smooth TZ2.

We are just going to do the last check now. If they pass these tests, I will release them soon. :-)

  • NEW!

bkmcwd Valkyrie 444 TYPE-ZERO2_BETA2 'Apocalypse Now' with cbrandin 'Pure Original 444 Matrix' and 'Modified 444 Matrix' - seta.ini - Released 15/02/2013

This is the version which adjusted safer from TYPE-ZERO2_Candidate1.5e in HBR and 720p.

And I adopted 3GOP as 720/50p, and adopted 6GOP as 720/60p this time.

IMO, this BETA is most stable and most reliable in Valkyrie series now.

I think that the freezing issue at the moment of the focusing and zooming was solved nearly perfectly also in Panny lens use.

Please try it! And I am very glad if I can get feedbacks from you.

*If this is also still unstable, I will further adjust.

Special thanks to @har_k, @towi and All silent users of my settings! :-)

Of course, many thanks to @cbrandin and KING @driftwood!

*There is no change from previous versions in 24p.

  • In HBR and 720p of new Valkyries, I think that the bit rate and frame size in the time of general shooting increase certainly rather than the previous BETA versions.

Of course, reliability is a record level simultaneously, I think. :-)

  • @bkmcwd

    I used "Valkyrie 444 TYPE-ZERO2_BETA2" HBR(30p) mode.

Thanks for amazing quality settings and your hard work!!

*FILM MODE is NOS.(-2,0,+1,-2) and the lens is LUMIX G X VARIO 12-35mm

    *SANDISK Extreme Pro SDXC UHS-I (95MB/s) 64GB

  • For non-technicals like me :) I use a lot Valkyrie 444, and I was wondering what's the differences between "Spizz" and the "Valkyrie" series?

  • @har_k

    Thanks always mate! :-)

New Valkyrie looks better quality than previous versions as we expect.

  • @icp

Thanks for using my settings! :-)

what's the differences between "Spizz" and the "Valkyrie"

The type of the matrix adopted in each recording mode is different.

    If I say simply ...

In 24p, Valkyrie and Spizz are very alike. These matrices are based on the concept which does not delete the amount of information as much as possible. Although there is a difference also in 24p, of course, it is a matrix of the same system.

In recording modes other than 24p, a difference is clear.

In Valkyrie, the matrix which does not delete information as much as possible as well as 24p is adopted.

On the other hand, the matrix which deletes information to some extent is adopted so that it may be easy to compress in Spizz, and it is an image like a hybrid.

Since Nick @driftwood designed the foundations of the matrix of Spizz, I am not sure about an exact reason, but I think that the reason for changing the concept for every recording mode is because the bit rate which can probably be treated in recording modes other than 24p is low.

Of course, it is dependent on your liking which is chosen.

  • @bkmcwd

I know driftwood settings are top-notch in 24p modes. But now i need a setting that is superior in FSH Mode. So, if i understood it correctly: When i want to shoot solely in FSH/HBR, "Valkyrie 444 TYPE-ZERO2_BETA2" should be the better choice for me.

I would like to have a setting with the best possible picture quality and the highest bitrate in FSH Mode - spanning is not so important to me in this case. I need a setting whith a matrix that does not delete information in FSH Mode !

Many thanks in advance for your recommendation.

  • @Mariella

Many thanks for using my settings! :-)

Since it depends on your liking which you finally choose, please try newest Valkyrie 444 TZ2 BETA2, Valkyrie CS TZ2 BETA3, and GOLGOP3-13-MAX2 or A2 BETA5, respectively.

Next GOLGOP3-13 which I am improving now is certainly better than BETA5 in FSH. Therefore, you try GOLGOP3-13 BETA6, after it is released.

  • @bkmcwd Thanks for the info. I'll stick to "Valkyrie" for the moment, the 24p mode is amazing and the HBR mode is very good for long events.

I'll give "Spizz" a try soon.

    Thanks for your work!

  • @bkmcwd I've had the "Valkyrie 444 TYPE-ZERO2_BETA2" setting on a GF2 for a couple of days of testing. It absolutely amazes me every time that I look at a clip, using this setting. Very clean shadows, even in lowlight. The color is just great, also. Very easy post correction. I may just keep this setting on the camera, permanently. Thanks a lot for this, your good work.

  • @icp

    Thanks for your comment! :-)

Since there is still room for improvement about Spizz, I am going to improve anew.

  • @coors

    Thanks for your comment! :-)

Since I have not heard the result in GF2, I am very interesting.

  • Hi, again. The lack of playback, while using the camera in 720_60P, is becoming annoying. Is there something that I can change in the settings to get playback to work?
