    Such are made by multiple companies now, even some cheap Chinese ones have such feature (usually based on gateron switches).

    Another big thing is simpe micro-usb based detachable cable. So you can replace broken one very easy.

    Here it is no mechanical contacts inside switch, it only crosses the IR light beam.
