Industry really want to use all 3 known bugs to its advantage.
Here is situation:
In reality only dangerous path on average consumer PC is via browser JavaScript. Yet it is not so hard to fix and do not affect performance outside browser. One of problems here can be that no company want to become "owner of slower browser" :-)
All leading sites tell us how otherwise dangerous it is. But it is bullshit. If you are running some malicious executable file it won't use such fancy ways, really. As it is much more simple and open holes for such things.
But industry is pushing media prostitutes anyway (as they are feeding from their money), hoping that slowing down existing consumer PCs will save it from problem.
Timing is very good, right as all major CPU manufacturers hit the wall and having issues with real 10nm process.
