Sundance and Adobe Partner To Get More Women Making Films

The inaugural Women at Sundance | Adobe Fellowship class was announced today. Meet the 11 fellows. The fellowship is the product of a partnership between the Sundance Institute and Adobe and was created in January "to help female filmmakers launch successful and sustainable careers." Winners of the fellowship receive a $5,000 cash grant, participation in a Sundance Institute Lab or Program, and mentorship from Sundance Institute staff and Adobe executives. In the press release announcing the fellowship early this year, Adobe Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Ann Lewnes pointed out the impact that film can have on society and the importance of diverse viewpoints.
