I think its a great idea - I'd love a panasonic version, a YAGH with correct ergonomics and rigging would be great. The base camera is the 'brain' and everything else is nicely design modular extras.

Its a shame this only has one XLR. I think I'd use the DWW XLR 1 with this and it would be the best of both worlds. Something about it looks a bit 1980s though...

I"m so far very impressed with the Mp4 HEVC HLG 72 mbps mode. 10 bit 4:2:0 very clean in the shadows and will be great for long recording. So much to play with!

Hi - sadly after updating there is no change in the finder behaviour towards 10 bit files despite the fact that it says in the readme files that the new OS update supports GH5 files.

It would be great if it used the same approach as JVC - i'd be very happy with that. MFT can do it all (EF, PL, MFT native, Contax, M42 etc etc) so lets have it as an option.

Looks great - just wish it had a choice between MFT and EF, even if the MFT mount cropped things a bit. MFT gives so many more options for using older glass.

I love the camera - its a brilliant image and the colours are so great. Once you've shot 10 bit its hard to go back!

@alcomposer yes I agree. In the meantime I think the only work around is to shoot in NTSC 59.97 422 10 bit FHD, or 50p PAL FH10 422 and slow in post.

Sadly no FHD 10 bit available in any of the VFR modes - but you can now record in 59.97 FHD 10 BIT 422 which is nice for V-LOG slow mo in post amongst other uses.

I definitely see more dynamic range in v-log from my tests. But colour is just very good across the board on GH5 so V-Log doesn't seem to offer any colour benefits.

Imackreath - I think the skin tones looked nicer with your previous version. Millers LUT makes faces (and everything) go quite purple - this is something I've found when using GH4 LUTs on GH5 footage.
