I guess part of the confusion was the name. Rangefinder focusing to me, means having that square in the middle of the screen and lining up two ghost images to achieve focus. Thanks grisnjam

@Duly_Noted I would recommend the 10.5mm, because you can usually nab close ups with the 25mm and it's sweet close focus distance, but you can't always get wider.

@olli66 The a7s will give you more shallow depth of field, but it won't produce higher resolution photos.

It's a completely different kind of mic with a different pickup pattern. I think dynamic mics also have a worse signal/noise ratio than condensers

Get a line out feed from the DJ/Speaker area and feed it to a little portable recorder like a zoom/tascam device. I wouldn't advice plugging a dynamic mic into a camera like these... it'll be pretty noisey among other things.
