My god.... What these guys were thinking?! Its awful and to make it worse, it doesn't have a clean HDMI output. I was thinking that they would use the HDMI at least to offer Dual AF in 4K. Very weird strategy....

In 1080 the image is not so good indeed... But I'd like to see if slog2 performs well in terms of dynamic range. But you are right... With 4k internally this would be great

Cameras with non encrypted firmware could benefit from this? Like @roberGL, i am thinking that cameras like the Yi M1, E1 and other cheap cameras would be way better with a good codec.
