It was a very cold day and so quite hard to keep everything smooth. I was using a super cheap £30 tripod a Velbon C-400 which comes with a PH-24B fluid head. I also experimented with a technique where you slowly tip the tripod towards an object/subject whilst tipping the tripod head up to keep it level. It gives the impression that you are using a slider track.

Although I have worked with still photography and video operating I haven't had much experience with this more artistic film work so I would love some feedback. Most of the shots I was on a very wide aperture, around 0.95-1.4 and kept my ISO very low. I haven't really done any colour correction and I am not entirely happy with the edit. I did it more as a test and rushed the edit a little whilst at a friends house (so I couldn't concentrate 100%). One thing I have noticed is that there is a "judder" effect going on constantly throughout, like it is missing some frames. Not sure if this is because I am using a cracked version of premiere or its the way I exported it.

Anyway here it is (its kind of depressing).

Quick and dirty sledding fun video with Voigtlander 25mm and Fotga fader ND http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/6255/quick-and-dirty-sledding-fun-video-with-voigtlander-25mm-and-fotga-fader-nd Tue, 26 Feb 2013 02:45:31 +0000 janis 6255@/talks/discussions I had this glass and filter for some time, but never did 100% work with it. Before I had some reservations about fader ND - not anymore. This is straight from the camera. Very limited color-correction is done only on 1:25 frame.

Minnesota Snow in Anamorphic http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/5623/minnesota-snow-in-anamorphic Sun, 30 Dec 2012 16:40:15 +0000 B3Guy 5623@/talks/discussions It is winter in Minnesota, and that means snow. There is nothing quite like the experience of a walk in the snow clad Minnesota forests. The soft snow and sharp cold winter air create a new extreme of quiet that can only really be experienced first-hand. The accompanying music can only hope to capture some of the mood. Shut out the hustle and bustle this holiday season for a relaxing 11 minute walk by the frozen Sunrise River behind my home.
