I've recently started to get interested in C mount (CCTV) lens, for they are fast, wide, and cheap. So I wondered, is there any CCTV lens that I could use as a Fisheye (and get the same effect as the Panasonic 8mm f3.5, but faster) ? Here's a few lens I've found looking on the internet :

• Rainbow 3.5mm 1.6

• Tamron 4-12mm 1.2

• Pentax 6mm 1.2 (+ wide conversion lens x0.45)

Wanted effect :

The GH2 exact m4/3 sensor crop is x1.86.

So I would like to get the same widness as the Panasonic 8mm or any 8mm Fisheye (Samyang, Peleng, Rokinon...) :

Panasonic 8mm : 8 x 1.86 = 14.88mm equivalent (no need for ETC mode)

Rainbow 3.5mm : 3.5 x 1.86 = 6.51 -> 6.51 x 2 = 13mm equivalent

Pentax 6mm : 6 x 1.86 = 11.16 -> 11.6 x 2 = 23.2mm equivalent -> 23.2 x 0.45 = 10.44mm equivalent

C mount lens (1/2") work well on the GH2, but I heard that the CS mount lens (1/3") would still have really heavy vignetting because even with the ETC mode it would not cover entirely the GH2 sensor. Is that true ?

How does this lense perform at 1.5? Is it soft?

Special in combination with metabone canon EF to MFT XL adapter? Or straight mft on the gh4.

Its sophisticated optical construction relies on the system of 10 lenses arranged in 8 groups. They include, among others, one aspherical (AS) lens and two lenses made of extra low dispersion glass (ED). I "need" to get some EF zooms, because I found out I do more doc style work and photos lately. 35 and 85 were protected by UV filters all along. No scratches or cleaning marks. The 14mm has slightly loose iris ring but nothing to be too concerned about. Asking 900€ for the set. Located in Lyon, France

I also have a Tokina Atx-pro 80-200 F2.8 Nikon mount for sale, 350€ or 380€ with adapter.

I'm trying to find something that could translate to 14mm (in 35mm land) without overly fish-eyeing. It seems like a lot of people have shot in 4K and used "De-fishing" software to get it looking nice in 1080p.

Found a bunch of 7.5 lenses. As far as I can tell these are as wide as the format can go. But, there are so many. And the Rokinon and Bower look kind of the same. I also noticed Rokinon and Samyang label their last two as "cine".

Any opinions on these lenses?

Which out of the 2 is the better lens? I have the option of selling the SLR Magic to a film maker i know and the Samyang costs roundabout the same as what i am selling the 12mm for.

Kindly advice.

P.S- I have been recommended to go for the Samyang compared to a Tokina 11-16mm (EF) as they said It's sharper and has better CA control. Views on this.
